A fun weekend of cycling at the annual Harpeth River Ride starting Friday June 2nd – Saturday June 3th in Franklin, Tennessee. Hosted by the Harpeth Bicycle Club and presenting sponsor Mars Petcare, the Harpeth River Ride offers an epic cycling experience for bicyclists of all skill levels. Choose from four routes – 15, 44, 66 and 100 miles – traveling throughout the scenic, rural landscape of Middle TN. All routes are fully supported by well-stocked rest stops, clearly marked directions and top-notch SAG. Afterward, enjoy a delicious lunch and share ride stories with your friends. There’s a reason cyclists return to the Harpeth River Ride year-after-year, it’s an event not to be missed! 

The Harpeth Bicycle Club (HBC) exists to promote cycling in the greater Nashville area. Formed in 1997, the club has over 1000 members ranging from casual cyclist to ultra rider. Scheduled rides are offered 2-5 days per week depending on the weather. New riders are welcomed to join some of the best cyclists in Middle Tennessee who are willing to share their knowledge and enthusiasm for the sport. A variety of training clinics are offered to develop cycling performance and safety skills.

Ride the Vines

Ride the Vines Franklin TNCome, enjoy the upcoming spring with a bike ride through the charming countryside of southeastern Williamson County at the second annual Ride the Vines benefiting GraceWorks.

The April 23 event will begin and end at Samary Plantation, 2133 Allisona Road in Eagleville. Novice and experienced riders can choose from a 23-mile or 50-mile ride. Both routes include the challenge of Pull-Tight Hill.

The ride will feature a staggered start with the first beginning at 8 a.m. Brunch will be served afterward at Samary. The first 250 cyclists older than 21 who register will be given a special bottle of wine commemorating the event.

Riders can register through April 21 online at www.ridethevines.org or the day of the event. The cost is $62.

Started in 1995, GraceWorks served Williamson County neighbors in 2015 with 50,069 needs valued at $4.5 million. GraceWorks’ 20 programs include family support, hunger prevention, seasonal needs and education. Food valued at $1.5 million was given in 2015.
