Dog Show and Expo
Williamson County Parks and Recreation (WCPR) invites local pooches and their humans to join us for the Second Annual Dog Show and Expo “Pooch-A-Palooza” at the Nolensville Bark Park (Nolensville Park Road, near Nolensville Elementary School and Nolensville First United Methodist Church). The event is scheduled for Saturday, March 30 from 12:00 noon – 3:00 p.m. There is a $10 participation fee for pooches who would like to strut their stuff in a performance of showmanship. There will be several competitions including:
Best Costume: Dress up your pooch in their best outfit and show them off on stage.
Best Trick: Have your best friend show off their coolest trick.
Best Retriever: A staff member will throw a ball or frisbee for your dog to retrieve.
Best Bark: Have your pooch show off their bark.
Prizes will be given in each category.
Participants must provide proof that dog vaccinations are up-to-date upon check-in (Parvovirus, Distemper, Rabies, and Adenovirus). Dogs must be kept on a leash unless it is his or her turn to participate in a competition. Participants must clean up any pet waste and provide them with water.
The event is free for spectators. Williamson County Animal Center will be on hand with some adoptable dogs, and other vendors will be on site as well. Event sponsors are Camp Bow Wow of Smyrna and My Second Home in Franklin, TN.

Celebrate man’s best friend at the Pooch-a-Palooza dog show and expo. Looking for a pet sitter or vet? Get to know local businesses that care about your pets just as much as you do. Vendors include local vets, groomers, dog boarders, and pet supply shops. Adoptable dogs will also be on site from the Williamson County Animal Control with their mobile adoption center.
Think your dog is the best? Now is your chance to prove it, for only $10 register your k-9 friend for one or more of our competitions which include best dressed best trick, best agility course time and best retriever. All skill levels are welcome to compete in this friendly competition! The Williamson County Sheriff’s Department K-9 Unit will also hold a special demonstration you won’t want to miss! This event is FREE for spectators and their pets but registration is required to compete.

Over 2000 dogs in over 150 AKC breeds compete for 4 days in conformation, obedience, and rally. Come watch your favorite breeds compete or … looking for a new dog? This is a great time to meet the dogs and talk with knowledgable people. Great for the WHOLE family.

Thompson’s Station’s premier annual event “The Dog & Pony Show” returns to Thompson’s Station Park on Saturday, September 26, 2015. This free, all-day family festival includes live music, a kids zone of activities and games, Fresh Canine Flying Frisbee Dogs, equine attractions, artisan and food vendors and more. All proceeds benefit the nonprofit Thompson’s Station Community Association (TSCA), which funds parks and community projects.
