Adoption fees waived on all kittens, cats and dogs

An extremely high number of intakes in recent days has the Williamson County Animal Center in Franklin packed with adorable adoptable dogs and cats that need homes! So, the shelter is asking you to ‘Be a Hero-Adopt a Pet!’ during their ‘Clear the Shelter’ event. All adoption fees are waived on kittens, cats and dogs over one year of age. Puppies under one year are not included.

Clear the Shelter starts Thursday, June 8 and goes through Sunday June 11. During this promotion, any kitten, cat or adult dog is adoptable at no fee!

All the dogs and cats adopted through Williamson County Animal Center are current on vaccinations, spayed or neutered (if age permits) and microchipped. Puppy adoption fees are $85; unaltered pets may not be adopted out-of-county and may be subject to a deposit.

The Williamson County Animal Center, 106 Claude Yates Dr. in Franklin, is open from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Monday through Friday, Saturday from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. and Sunday from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Adoptable animals can be viewed at www. adoptwcac.org. Share the Love, Pet Adoption and Pet Photos with Santa

Franklin, TN Pet photos with santa, events, restaurants, shopping, fun family activities, kids events, antiques and things to do in Williamson County Williamson County Animal Center (WCAC) and Darrell Waltrip Subaru in Franklin are teaming up for “Share the Love,” a holiday sales event from November 19, 2015 through January 2, 2016. With each new Subaru vehicle sold or leased during that time period at Darrell Waltrip Subaru, 1450 Murfreesboro Rd., purchasers can choose WCAC as a directly benefitting charity. Subaru will donate $250 per vehicle sold. As a chosen charitable partner, the Williamson County Animal Center is excited to be the only local organization option for donations.

In addition, Darrell Waltrip Subaru will sponsor a pet adoption event & pet photos with Santa on Saturday, December 5, 2015 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the shelter, 106 Claude Yates Dr. in Franklin, TN. For this event, you can bring the family pet along for a professional photo with Santa. Dogs must be leashed and cats must be in a carrier.

Along with the holiday fun, the shelter will be promoting adoptions. “We have plenty of wonderful adoptable pets and look forward to pairing them up with new families,” said Laura Chavarria, shelter director. “Our December theme is ‘Let It Go’ and adoption fess have been ‘frozen’ at $20 for cats and dogs.” Free refreshments will be served and there will be a donation station for pet supplies.

The Farm at Natchez Trace – Join us on Wednesday, December 2nd and Friday, December 4th from 5pm-8pm each day for our annual evening of hot apple cider, Christmas cookies and…Pictures with Santa!

This year’s event will benefit Bonaparte’s Retreat. No appointment is necessary and we’ll be welcoming Leila Grossman of Grannis Photography back to take photos in front of The Farm’s lovely stone fireplace.
