Trades FestivalCome on out to Travellers Rest for our annual Trades Festival! Step back in time to 200 plus years ago and watch history come alive through the work of over thirty talented artisans and re-enactors. Period demonstrators and re-enactors include blacksmithing, basket weaving, spinning, weaving, civil war and frontier life plus much, much more. A wealth of hands-on activities await such as clothes warshin’, thaumatropes, rolling hoops, quill pen writing, doll making, candle dipping, corn grinding and perhaps a few surprises.
