St. Matthew Catholic Church 12th annual Art Show
Come join us for a weekend of Art and Celebration! The 12th Annual Fine Art Show and Sale is October 28, 6-9 p.m. and October 29, 9:30 a.m.-1:00 p.m., hosted by the Art & Environment Committee. Make plans now to attend this free event, full of live music, great gift ideas and good food. More than 30 talented artists from the surrounding community will be showcasing their work in oils, watercolor, photography, pottery and mixed media. Joining Michael Poindexter, the show’s featured artist, are many new artists including Frank Baggett, Janet King, Jerald Peterson and Cass Fagan. Complimentary child care is provided for Saturday’s “21 and over” wine and cheese event along with music from the Nashville State Jazz Ensemble. On Sunday, families are welcome to come enjoy the beautiful artwork, sample coffee and pastries, and enjoy the music of Melissa & Dave Edgington.

Boys & Girls Clubs of Middle Tennessee – 28th Annual Steak & Burger Dinner with Inky Johnson – The Factory at Franklin
The Steak & Burger Dinner will be held on Thursday, May 11th at 6 PM in Liberty Hall in the Factory at Franklin located at 230 Franklin Road, Franklin, TN 37064. Guest speaker is Inky Johnson, who played safety at Tennessee and was going to be an NFL draft pick, but suffered a career-ending injury on a tackle against Air Force on September 9, 2006. Ten years later, Johnson is a highly sought after speaker for his inspiring message of facing life’s challenges head on.
The Ed Moody Award of Excellence will be awarded during the dinner to Robert Blair. The Ed Moody Award of Excellence recognizes individuals who have made a lasting impact with the Franklin and Fairview Boys & Girls Clubs and the Williamson County community.
