St. Patrick’s Day Party – P.A.L.S. program

The Therapeutic Recreation programs offered by Williamson County Parks and Recreation provide year-round leisure activities for individuals with developmental disabilities. Therapeutic programs are led by Therapeutic Recreation Specialists who assist people with disabilities to develop skills and knowledge for daily living and community involvement. Highlighting the March calendar are a St. Patrick’s Day party and a Throwback Thursday 1950s diner party. All programs are open to the public, and pre-registration is required. Enjoy games, a scavenger hunt and dinner on Thursday, March 17, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. This program is for young adults and older, and the cost is $6. This is a P.A.L.S. program (People at Leisure with Support) with caregivers required to stay with those needing support. Caregivers wishing to eat are asked to register and pay the $6 program fee. Valentine’s Dance – Therapeutic Recreation Program

The Williamson County Parks and Recreation Department will have a Valentine’s dance as part of the therapeutic recreation program at the Franklin Recreation Complex, 1120 Hillsboro Road.

Celebrate Valentine’s with dancing and dinner with friends on Thursday, February 11, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. This program is for young adults and older, and the cost is $9. Dates are not needed. This is a P.A.L.S. program (People at Leisure with Support) with caregivers required to stay with those needing support. Caregivers wishing to eat are asked to register and pay a $5 fee. Registration is now open and ends February 9. Register on-line at www.wcparksandrec.com.
