Studio Tenn – West Side Story – June 3 & 4, 2016

Worlds are colliding in the rough-and-tumble West Side of 1950s New York City as star-crossed lovers Maria and Tony get caught up in rising tensions between rival gangs, the Sharks and the Jets.

A historic collaboration of some of Broadway’s biggest names, WEST SIDE STORY is an iconic musical theatre contemporization of Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet that quickly became a classic in its own right, repeatedly sweeping the Tony Awards over decades of revivals.

In the same spirit as the 1957 original, Studio Tenn’s production will propel this age-old story further forward with a vibrant, timeless design. Featuring Jerome Robbins’ revolutionary original choreography, cast members from Broadway and Nashville, and a full symphony orchestra performing the classic score including “Something’s Coming”, “Maria”, “America”, “Somewhere”, “Tonight”, “I Feel Pretty”, “One Hand, One Heart”.
