DESCRIPTION:Book launch party for local Williamson County school resource officer \nNew series of children’s books decreases fear in children during emergencies \nWHAT:  A book signing party for a new children book series written by Williamson County deputy sheriff and school resource officer\, Becky Coyle. Coyle (school resource officer at Scales Elementary) has penned Police in Our School\, The Lockdown Drill and Who Let The Dog In? to lessen fear among children about safety rules and training for emergencies in the schools — a difficult subject that should be carefully handled. \nStudents and their families will help Coyle celebrate the debut of the book series. Deputy Coyle will be on hand to read the books to the students and answer questions. Students can participate in crafts and light snacks/drinks will be available.
