SUMMARY:Battle of Franklin 5K and Kids’ Fun Run
DESCRIPTION:Join us for our second annual 5K Run/Walk and Kids’ Fun Run on November 19\, 2016!  Runners and walkers of all ages are welcome.  All proceeds go toward the care and maintenance of The Carter House and Carnton Plantation. \nThe Battle of Franklin Trust will host the Battle of Franklin 5K and Kids’ Fun Run on Saturday\, Nov. 19 to raise funds for the preservation of The Carter House and Carnton Plantation. The 5K route will begin and end at the McGavock Confederate Cemetery at 8 a.m. with the route consisting of the Eastern Flank Circle\, Lewisburg Avenue and Church Street. The quarter-mile Kids’ Fun Run begins at 9:30 a.m. and will take place alongside the McGavock Confederate Cemetery. Participants will be able to enjoy the beautiful scenery of the historic grounds as they run or walk through the picturesque path. \nSaturday\, Nov. 19\, 2016 \nRegistration will begin at 7:15 a.m. \n5k run/walk begins at 8 a.m. \nRegistration for Kids’ fun run will begin at 9 a.m. \nKids’ fun run will begin at 9:30 a.m. \nMcGavock Confederate Cemetery \n1345 Eastern Flank Circle \nFranklin\, Tenn. 37064 \nThe route will begin and end at the McGavock Confederate Cemetery\, continuing on Eastern Flank Circle\, Lewisberg Pike and Main Street.            \n
