DESCRIPTION:Downtown Franklin\, TN Events – Christmas Tree Lighting on the Square\nThe downtown Franklin Christmas Tree Lighting on the Square is a fun way for the entire family to kick-off the holiday season.  The city partners with sponsors and Spring Tree Media group to bring a multi-media extravaganza to the historic downtwon square.  The event features children’s choirs from local middle schools\, and high schools.  In 2015 award winning singer Matthew West performed and there was a surprise appearance from the Opryland Grinch.  Hundreds gathered on the square to watch lights and movie clips projected on the historic buildings on the square\, and also a dancing light show around the square.  A fan favorite was the free photos with Santa on the steps of the historic courthouse. \nFor more information\, please visit Christmas Tree Lighting on the Square. \n
