SUMMARY:2018  “Franklin on the Fourth” in Downtown Franklin
DESCRIPTION:The annual Independence Day celebration begins at 10 a.m. on July 4th \nThis year’s 4th of July Celebration will focus on family fun and include great music\, quality crafts\, tasty food\, antique cars\, and a large kids zone.  Downtown Franklin is the perfect location to have a festival and community event such as “Franklin on the Fourth”. \n \nThe free festival kicks off at 10 a.m. on Wednesday\, July 4th\, with bluegrass music playing from the stage.  Food vendors include everything from roasted corn on the cob to BBQ\, ice cream to nachos; and corn dogs to smoothies.  Craft vendors will fill the area with wood working\, jewelry and other handmade items. \n \nFood and craft booths will fill the downtown square.  Antique cars will line Main Street between the square and 4th Avenue.  The kid’s zone on 3rd Avenue North will have inflatables\, a petting zoo\, and pony rides.  The always fun Children’s Parade begins lining up at 4:45 and starts at 5 p.m.  Registration for the parade is free and goes on all day at the Lions Club booth\, which also will be selling water.\n \nLive entertainment\, including many popular groups\, continues throughout the day with a variety of music genres including Bluegrass\, Country\, Soul\, and Pop.  The final group of the day will be preceded by the Old Glory Chapter of the Daughter’s of the American Revolution reading the Declaration of Independence\, and the singing of the “National Anthem”.\n \nFranklin on the Fourth ends at 8 p.m. to give attendees time to get to the Fireworks Display at the Park at Harlinsdale Farm.  The display\, put on by the City of Franklin and its sponsors\, will begin at approximately 9 p.m.\n \n“Franklin on the Fourth” is coordinated by the Franklin Lions Club and TN Events in conjunction with the City of Franklin.  All proceeds benefit the Franklin Lions Club Charities. \n \nREMEMBER !!\nThe tradition of the “Children’s Parade” will continue and begin at 5:00 p.m. (Children will begin lining up at a designated marked location on 4th Avenue South at 4:45 p.m.) There will be Prizes for best costume and decorated bikes and wagons!  \n

DESCRIPTION:THE FRIENDS OF FRANKLIN PARKS HOST THE BEST SEATS IN THE HOUSE FOR THE FOURTH OF JULY FIREWORKS\nJoin the City of Franklin and Friends of Franklin Parks in celebrating the Fourth of July! This Independence Day celebration will feature music\, food\, and fireworks at the Park at Harlinsdale Farm in Franklin! The Tractor Supply Co. Arena will be open to the public starting at 5:00 PM for pre-fireworks music by People on the Porch (6:00 PM) and Rubiks Groove (7:00 PM).\n\nSonic will be supplying hot dogs\, grilled hamburgers\, and corndogs for purchase! And\, adult beverages by Lipman will be available including Napa Smith Brewery Beers\, Lonely Cow Wines\, Hap & Harry’s products\, and Hidden Jewel Wines\n \nKids activities will also be hosted in the Tractor Supply Co. Arena. Activities include old-fashioned kids games\, craft tent\, Padrinos Pops\, and Bluegrass Kettle Masters.
