SUMMARY:Elf The Musical
DESCRIPTION:\n\nWCPR Holiday Community Events and Programs\n\nWilliamson County Parks and Recreation (WCPR) will host several holiday community events and programs during the month of December. All events are open to the public. \nDecember 5-8: Elf The Musical – Freedom Middle School’s Shelby Theatre\, 750 Hwy 96W\, Franklin\, TN\nPerformances times are Thursday\, December 5 at 7:00 p.m.; Friday\, December 6 at 7:00 p.m.; Saturday\, December 7 at 7:00 p.m.; and Sunday\, December 8 at 2:00 p.m.\nElf the Musical\, presented by the Star Bright Players\, is the beloved story of Buddy\, a young orphan\, who mistakenly crawls into Santa’s bag of gifts and is transported to the North Pole. The would-be elf is raised\, unaware that he is actually a human\, until his enormous size and poor toy-making abilities cause him to face the truth. With Santa’s permission\, Buddy embarks on a journey to New York City to find his birth father and discover his true identity. Faced with the harsh realities that his father is on the naughty list and his half-brother doesn’t even believe in Santa\, Buddy is determined to win over his new family and help New York remember the true meaning of Christmas. Elf The Musical is sure to make everyone embrace their inner elf. After all\, the best way to spread Christmas Cheer is singing loud for all to hear. Tickets: $10 through November 30 and $12 beginning December 1\, available at www.academyparktn.wcparksandrec.com. For more information\, contact Alison Worden at (615) 786-0186 ext. 2513 or alison.worden@williamsoncounty-tn.gov. \nThe Star Bright Players are an award-winning Children’s Theatre Group sponsored by the Williamson County Parks and Recreation Department. This popular theatre program encourages local children ages 7 to 17 to “take the stage\, spread their wings and soar amongst the stars.” The Williamson County Parks and Recreation Department produces two full scale musical productions a year and holds open auditions in February and September. \nElf The Musical is presented through a special arrangement with Music Theatre International (MTI). All authorized performance materials are also supplied by MTI. www.MTIShows.com. \nSee more events here!\n\n
