DESCRIPTION:Williamson County Parks and Recreation (WCPR) will host several holiday community events and programs during the month of December.\nAll events are open to the public.\nDecember 2-16: Santa’s Mailbox\nThe Williamson County Parks and Recreation Department invites kids to drop a letter to Santa in one of the special Santa mailboxes at select WCPR facilities. Every letter will go to Santa and bring a personal response\, so be sure to include home address. The last day to drop off letters for Santa will be Monday\, December 16. Santa mailboxes are at the Franklin Recreation Complex; 1120 Hillsboro Rd.\, Franklin\, TN; the Fairview Recreation Complex\, 2714 Fairview Blvd.\, Fairview; the Longview Recreation Center at Spring Hill\, 2909 ; Hillsboro-Leiper’s Fork Community Center\, 5325 Old Hwy. 96 West\, Franklin\, TN; and the Williamson County Recreation Complex at Nolensville\, 7250 Nolensville Rd.\, Nolensville. All events are open to the public. \nDecember 5-8: Elf The Musical – Freedom Middle School’s Shelby Theatre\, 750 Hwy 96W\, Franklin\, TN\nPerformances times are Thursday\, December 5 at 7:00 p.m.; Friday\, December 6 at 7:00 p.m.; Saturday\, December 7 at 7:00 p.m.; and Sunday\, December 8 at 2:00 p.m.\nElf the Musical\, presented by the Star Bright Players\, is the beloved story of Buddy\, a young orphan\, who mistakenly crawls into Santa’s bag of gifts and is transported to the North Pole. The would-be elf is raised\, unaware that he is actually a human\, until his enormous size and poor toy-making abilities cause him to face the truth. With Santa’s permission\, Buddy embarks on a journey to New York City to find his birth father and discover his true identity. Faced with the harsh realities that his father is on the naughty list and his half-brother doesn’t even believe in Santa\, Buddy is determined to win over his new family and help New York remember the true meaning of Christmas. Elf The Musical is sure to make everyone embrace their inner elf.
