DESCRIPTION:Downtown Franklin\, TN Events – Christmas Tree Lighting on the Square\nThe downtown Franklin Christmas Tree Lighting on the Square is a fun way for the entire family to kick-off the holiday season.  The city partners with sponsors and Spring Tree Media group to bring a multi-media extravaganza to the historic downtwon square.  The event features children’s choirs from local middle schools\, and high schools.  In 2015 award winning singer Matthew West performed and there was a surprise appearance from the Opryland Grinch.  Hundreds gathered on the square to watch lights and movie clips projected on the historic buildings on the square\, and also a dancing light show around the square.  A fan favorite was the free photos with Santa on the steps of the historic courthouse. \nFor more information\, please visit Christmas Tree Lighting on the Square. \n

DESCRIPTION:It’s a new family tradition – see Franklin\, TN’s nicest neighborhoods decorated for the holidays!\nExperience a guided tour of the historic Lotz House in Franklin\, TN. Enjoy hot cider\, cookies\, and a drive-through tour of Franklin’s beautiful town square. Plus\, go on a trip to one of the most decorated neighborhoods featuring millions of lights on display! \nGray Line of Tennessee is proud to partner with the Lotz House and present the ninth annual\, “Twinkling Tennessee Christmas\,” one of Nashville’s most festive holiday traditions. \nIn addition to touring some of Nashville and Franklin’s most beautiful and exquisitely-decorated holiday home exteriors\, guests will also walk through the historic Lotz House in Franklin\, which is decorated to depict a typical Victorian Christmas in the mid-1800s\, and drive through Franklin’s beautiful town square. \nThe tour has grown in popularity each year as more groups\, organizations and neighborhoods take advantage of the special event. Each tour takes approximately 2 ½ hours and is in a 25 passenger mini-coach. \nTours will run Dec. 1-30\, with the exception of Dec. 24 and 25\, and will depart daily at 6:30 p.m. Gray Line will provide a pickup at most Nashville hotels\, or guests can park at the Gray Line office across from Opryland to board the tour. The office address is 2416 Music Valley Drive\, Ste. 102\, Nashville\, TN 37214. Hotel guests participating in the tour should be in their hotel lobby by 6 p.m. for departure between 6 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. \n  \n
