Kids Events and Activities in Brentwood, TN

Sunday, August 13th, 2017  – Fins & Feet Aquathlon – Register now 

Williamson County Parks and Recreation is pleased to announce the fourth annual Fins & Feet Aquathlon, a youth swim and run competition on Sunday, August 13, 2017 at the Indoor Sports Complex, 920 Heritage Way in Brentwood, TN. Fins & Feet is for boys and girls ages 6 to 14. Athletes will race according to their age on 8/13/17, and will be divided into three levels: ages 6 to 8,  swim 50 meters/run .5 miles; ages 9 to 11, swim 200 meters/run one mile; ages 12 to 14, swim 300 meters/run 1.4 miles.   Online registration is now available at www.wcparksandrec.com (event #9819), and the entry fee is $30.

All participants will receive a t-shirt and medal. Awards will be given out to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place in each age division. Pre-registration is required and NO REFUNDS will be issued.

Williamson County Parks and Recreation is a public organization, here to benefit the community.  Anyone may register for and participate in the department’s programs, teams, classes and events. Franklin Tomorrow Exemplary Community Volunteer Awards

Tomorrow MainFranklin Tomorrow’s 11th annual Exemplary Community Volunteer Awards recognize the “Stars of Our Community” for the good works they do for area nonprofits and organizations. Awards are given in the categories of Volunteer Spirit, Youth Initiative, Civic Group, Corporate Team, Corporate Individual, with top award of the night being the Anne T. Rutherford Exemplary Community Volunteer Award.
 
Franklin Tomorrow also presents the Business Legacy Award to honor an individual or individuals who have made a deep impact on our community through their philanthropy.
 
Each recipient receives a cash prize to be donated to the nonprofit of their choice.
 
Ticketholders are invited to attend a pre-event reception at FirstBank at Five Points in downtown Franklin, TN, beginning at 5:30 p.m. The reception will end at 6:30 p.m. and the ceremony will begin at the Theatre at 7 p.m.
 
Partnering with Franklin Tomorrow this year to present the awards are FirstBank, Williamson Medical Center, Buerger Moseley Carson, and PARKS Realty. Additional partners include The TMA Group and Signs First, Franklin Lion Clubs, Supporters are 61st District State Rep. Charles Sargent, 63rd District State Rep. Glen Casada, 65th District State Rep.
