We have some great performances lined up this summer so pack a picnic, gather friends and family, and head on over to Owl’s Hill for an evening of fun, friends and music. Arrive early to stake out the perfect picnic spot, meet Owl’s Hill’s non-releasable live owls and go for a hike!

Gates open at 5:30 pm for picnics, hikes and meeting the owls; Music starts at 7:00 pm.

Owl’s Hill Nature Sanctuary – Free Hike Day – All Ages!

Come out to Owl’s Hill for a free hike! Join one of our staff members or volunteers on a guided hike through Owl’s Hill. This is a great opportunity for families, individuals, and small groups to come enjoy the trails of Owl’s Hill and get some exercise. The hike will be approximately two to three miles with some moderate hill climbs included. Hikes will start at 1:00.

Can you tell a Katydid call from a Cicada’s?  The croak of a Bullfrog from that of a Green Frog? Have you ever called owls or listened to birds going to bed?  Bring a picnic and enjoy an evening of “naked-eye” astronomy and listening to the Southern Summer Night chorus show with Naturalist Bob English of LEAPS.

Owl’s Hill Nature Sanctuary – The Art of Landscapes in Oil with Rachael McCampbell

Adults Only

6-week course series  – Thursdays June 8 – July 20 (excludes week of June 22); 9 a.m. – Noon

This class, taught by Rachael McCampbell, is for all levels. This 6-week course series will emphasize how to paint landscapes in oils. You will work in a larger size (as in 24″ x 36″) canvas and continue work on the same painting until it is complete. The focus will be on skies and the medium is oil, however you may work in acrylics as well.

Beer Hike at Owl’s Hill – Things to Do in Brentwood, TN

Saturday, May 20, 2017
2:00pm – 5:00pm
$35/person (must be 21 or older)

Join Jackalope Brewing Company and Owl’s Hill Nature Sanctuary for the first ever Beer Quest, a two-hour hike around Owl’s Hill Nature Sanctuary’s hiking trails on Saturday, May 20th at 2:00pm.

Hikers will receive a treasure map (or use a GPS device) to help navigate the 3-mile trail, where you’ll collect tokens along your quest. Tokens are to be redeemed at the end of the hike for beer samples under Owl’s Hill Pavilion.

Food will be provided by Fly Boys Nashville, a unique WWII-themed Nashville food truck serving up a bit of the past with South Pacific flair. Food is included in the ticket price.

Giving on the Green Golfing Tournament

GOTG Poster brentwood tn eventsBrentwood Country Club hosts the 14th annual Giving on the Green golf tournament on Monday, May 8, 2017 benefiting High Hopes Development Center.  Foursomes will enjoy 18 holes of golf with a noon shotgun start on the lush greens and fairways of BCC.  The course will feature food and beverage tents including Buffalo Wings & Rings and a Bloody Mary tent hosted by ImageQuest, among others.  Of course, cold brews and carbonated beverages will be available to all golfers as well.  The event festivities will conclude with prizes in various categories.
