Hang out on shore or take a plunge with the mermaid, but watch out for pirates at the Family Beach Bash pool party, Friday, August 4 at the Franklin Recreation Complex. For one night only, from 6:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., the outdoor pool deck and new splash park will become a tropical oasis with dancing, games, and contests. There will be plenty of wet and wild pool games, plus dry games for the beach bums! If you get hungry, concessions will be on sale (cash only). This event is open to the public. Regular general admission fees apply: $4 for adults (18-54), $2 for seniors (ages 55 and older) and youth (ages 4-17). Children ages 3 and younger are admitted free. WCPR premium passes include admission to outdoor pools. No rafts or floats, please; pool noodles are allowed. All children 12 and younger must be accompanied by an adult over 18. To prepare for the bash, the pool and splash park be closed from 6:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
