On Sunday, December 2nd, from 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM, The Sunday Market will come to the Shed at Southeast side of The Factory at Franklin. It will feature handmade goods designed by local artisans as well as high-quality vintage finds.  Market admission is free, but guests are encouraged to learn about and support the community-focused non-profit highlighted each time. 

This free event is a great way to Create Community Together. Five times a year we gather local makers and pickers and have an outdoor market. The December 2 event has Grace Works as our non-profit spotlight, along with food trucks, live music, a cooking demo, and more to round out your Sunday. Come join us from 10-4 at the Shed behind the Factory at Franklin.

Community Members and Music-Lovers Gathered at Carnton on Sunday

Community members and music-lovers gathered at Carnton on Sunday evening for a night of summer fun. The Sunset Concert Series kicked off its 2018 season with music from FAB: A Beatles Tribute. Families and friends gathered on the east lawn next to Carnton for a Franklin summer evening, accompanied by beautiful weather and food offerings from Yayo’s O.M.G. Tacos, Puckett’s Trolley, Maggie Moos ice cream and Retro Sno food trucks. Specialty drinks were offered, including margaritas provided by Chuy’s and mint juleps. The Sunset Concert Series raises funds for the Battle of Franklin Trust, which operates Carter House and Carnton. The July concert will be held on Sunday, July 29 and will featureResurrection: A Journey Tribute. For tickets and additional information, visit www.boft.org.

 

 

 

Family Fun at “Traffic Jam: on June 16

Live music and cruise-in at Nolensville Ball Park

Bring the family to Nolensville Ball Park, 2310 Rocky Fork Rd., on Saturday, June 16 for ‘Traffic Jam’, a fun night with live music, classic cars, food trucks, inflatables, pony rides and more. This event will feature live performances by the popular Rolling Stones cover band The Music City Stones, Dust & Daisies and Rich Fyhr. 

Traffic Jam is from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Pre-registration is open now at www.wcparksandrec.com (#11959), $8 per adult, $5 per child (4-12), age 3 and younger admitted free.  Prices at the gate will be: Adults $10, children $7, age 3 and younger free.

Anyone can participate in the cruise-in, but space is limited, so you must pre-register by calling Chase at 615-799-9331, ext. 2315 or at ChaseC@williamson-tn.org.

Nashville Steam 2017 Open House

The Nashville Steam Preservation Society is hosting a FREE Open House in Nashville’s Centennial Park on October 13 from 4:00 to 9:00 pm. Come on down to the locomotive, just west of the Parthenon on 27th Ave. N., for tours of the train, evening photo sessions, a silent auction, food trucks and more. All proceeds and donations will go towards the restoration of Nashville, Chattanooga and St. Louis Rwy. No. 576 to operate excursions out of downtown Nashville, TN.

Enjoy free live entertainment during lunch at the new Brown Bag concert series at Academy Park – June 30th from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. in the outdoor amphitheater at the Williamson County Enrichment Center at Academy Park, 110 Everbright Ave.

Dust and DaisiesLive entertainment will be provided by Nashville-based duo Dust and Daisies with their soulful, gritty, honest songs about hope and healing.  Singer-songwriter Rich Fyhr will also be performing.

There will be food trucks on hand with delicious lunch items for sale, or you can bring your own. The concert is free, and attendees are encouraged to bring chairs or a blanket for seating.

Brown Bag series at Academy Park

Enjoy free live entertainment during lunch at the Brown Bag concert series at Academy Park.  The next concert is Friday, June 30 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. in the banquet hall of the Williamson County Enrichment Center at Academy Park, 110 Everbright Ave.
