4th of July Fireworks Show in Franklin, TN at The Park at Harlinsdale

The Park at Harlinsdale Open for 4th of July Fireworks Viewing

North Entrance will open at 6:00 p.m. Free Parking, Downtown Festivities Begin at 10:00 a.m.

Franklin, TN — Thousands are expected to attend the popular Franklin on the Fourth Fireworks celebration on the square happening Monday, July 4th in Franklin and sponsored by the Franklin Lions Club,.  The Park at Harlinsdale will open at 6:00 p.m. to provide a special viewing place for the fireworks show, sponsored by WAKM, the City of Franklin and in part by Cumulus Radio.  The North Entrance on Franklin Road will open at 6:00 p.m. and people are invited to bring lawn chairs or blankets to view the show.  The fireworks are expected to begin at approximately 9:00 p.m.

No alcohol is allowed in City Parks.  Fireworks and sparklers are illegal within Franklin City limits and are strictly prohibited in City Parks.  The grass is dry in the park and sparks or flames could easily start a fire.

Calendar: Holiday Happenings

Here’s a sneak peek at just some of the events coming up in Franklin and elsewhere to celebrate the holiday season:

Thursday, Dec. 3, 6:45 p.m. – Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony. A spectacular event on the town square featuring the lighting of the tree, as well as entertainment by local school children, musicians/performers, and Santa Claus.

Saturday, Dec. 5, 11:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. – Kiwanis Christmas Parade. Local soulful singer Quintavious Johnson, 13, will serve as grand marshal for this downtown Franklin tradition featuring floats, marching bands and the appearance of Santa Claus.

Saturday, Dec. 12, 2 p.m.Leipers Fork Christmas Parade. Naomi Judd will serve as grand marshal for this quirky and fun parade that highlights a real “Country” Christmas.

Saturday-Sunday, Dec. 12-13, 10 a.m.-5 p.m./11 a.m.-5 p.m.– Dickens of a Christmas. Step back in time with the Heritage Foundation of Franklin & Williamson County when Dickens of a Christmas returns to Franklin’s Main Street.

Historic Downtown Franklin, TN’s 23rd annual Pumpkinfest was Saturday, Oct. 25. 

 

The event filled Main Street from Second to Fifth Avenues with all things fall-related–pumpkins, Halloween costumes, activities for children and adults, two stages, a chili cook-off, hayrides and fall arts and crafts from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
