“Jason Eskridge is very powerful and poised in his set. His great mixture of classic soulful tunes with new arrangements and original material certainly pleases the musical palate. The crowd was very receptive and appreciative. The truly up close and personal Little Brick Theater is a great venue.”-Robert W. Blair

“Soul At The Factory is the rare event where good entertainment, good people, and good value converged! Besides being in awe of Jason Eskridge’s musical breadth, I enjoyed the genuine appreciation demonstrated by a classy audience. As an additional bonus, I connected with a few business professionals in my circle who were equally impressed with the evening.”-Glenn W. Hunter

The album features 23 songs written by Jerre and his wife Barbara over a fifty year period and sung by them, their daughter Holly and their granddaughter Sarah. The album was recently named 2015 National Folk CD of the Year by the Rural Roots Music Commission. Jerre continues to perform his own original songs and selective audience favorites throughout East & Middle TN, Northwest GA & at folk festivals around the nation.

Christina sings lead and background vocals for sessions. She is the soprano in 4-person vocal jazz group, 3rd Coast Vocals, and is a frequent guest performer with the Nashville Jazz Orchestra and the NJO Sextet. Christina has released 3 CDs as a solo artist and 1 with 3CV, and she was featured on the NJO’s 2013 recording, “It Ain’t Necessarily So.” She has performed in Europe and Asia as well as in various parts of the US.

Cab Calloway Orchestra

There will be two shows on New Year’s Eve:
The first show is a concert from 6:00 PM – 7:30 PM.
The second show is a concert and dance party from 9:30 PM – 12:15 AM, and will include party favors and a champagne toast at midnight.

The whole audience bouncing and swaying to the irresistible rhythm. Everybody singing HI-DE-HO! They’re echoing the King himself, Cab Calloway, as he thrusts his baton into the air, and in his Zoot Suit, jumps, twirls and signals to the band to begin another joyous chorus. Who could forget the incredible sounds and imagery of Cab Calloway and his hot Jazz Orchestra!

The Cab Calloway Orchestra continues to delight audiences nationally from the historic jazz club “Birdland” in New York City to jazz and other venues all over the country under the baton of Cab’s grandson C. Calloway Brooks. The Calloway family has been dazzling audiences since the 1920’s and this year is no exception. Calloway Brooks, along with the Cab Calloway Orchestra deliver both the authentic sound of a hot Jazz Orchestra and a snazzy stage style-bringing out a Jump, Blues, and Boogie experience of “Swing that is king and Jive that’s alive”. Using the Calloway bands original vintage orchestrations as a starting point, coupled with the awesome musicians who have played with this big band for decades, The Cab Calloway Orchestra creates the authentic unforgettable sensation of a Modern Jazz Orchestra in full flight.

Beegie also holds a place of honor in the Nashville Jazz Workshop’s history — she was one of the first Board members and taught some of our first vocal classes. She was also the first recipient of the NJW Heritage Award, in 2008. We are excited to celebrate Beegie and her jazz legacy.
