Hang out on shore or take a plunge with the mermaid, but watch out for pirates at the Family Beach Bash pool party, Friday, August 4 at the Franklin Recreation Complex, 1120 Hillsboro Rd. For one night only, from 6:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., the outdoor pool deck and new splash park will become a tropical oasis with dancing, games, and contests. There will be plenty of wet and wild pool games, plus dry games for the beach bums! If you get hungry, concessions will be on sale (cash only).
This event is open to the public. Regular general admission fees apply: $4 for adults (18-54), $2 for seniors (ages 55 and older) and youth (ages 4-17). Children ages 3 and younger are admitted free. WCPR premium passes include admission to outdoor pools. No rafts or floats, please; pool noodles are allowed. All children 12 and younger must be accompanied by an adult over 18. To prepare for the bash, the pool and splash park be closed from 6:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.

Williamson County Parks and Recreation is pleased to announce the third annual Fins & Feet Aquathlon, a youth swim and run competition on Sunday, August 13, 2017 at the Indoor Sports Complex, 920 Heritage Way in Brentwood, TN. Fins & Feet is for boys and girls ages 6 to 14. Athletes will race according to their age on 8/13/17, and will be divided into three levels: ages 6 to 8, swim 50 meters/run .5 miles; ages 9 to 11, swim 200 meters/run one mile; ages 12 to 14, swim 300 meters/run 1.4 miles. Online registration is now available at www.wcparksandrec.com (event #9819), and the entry fee is $30.

Owl’s Hill Nature Sanctuary – Free Hike Day – All Ages!
Come out to Owl’s Hill for a free hike! Join one of our staff members or volunteers on a guided hike through Owl’s Hill. This is a great opportunity for families, individuals, and small groups to come enjoy the trails of Owl’s Hill and get some exercise. The hike will be approximately two to three miles with some moderate hill climbs included. Hikes will start at 1:00.
