The library’s Easter egg hunt will take place in the area between the library and Lipscomb Elementary School. Face painting and the jelly bean guess begin at 2:00 and hunt starts promptly at 2:30. The park will be divided into four age groups and there will be thousand of eggs distributed. Bring a basket to collect your eggs and bring your camera to get a picture with the Easter Bunny. Parking is available at the library, at River Park and at the Civitan lot next to Lipscomb Elementary.

March 21-24: Video Game Design (Spring Break: ages 6-10)
Have some fun during Spring Break! This is a new class for younger kids, ages 6-10. Learn to build simple video games and use animation. The four-day class meets March 21-24 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the Franklin Recreation Complex, 1120 Hillsboro Rd., Franklin, TN 37064. Does your kid love computers? Williamson County Parks and Recreation (WCPR) has computer skills camps in Franklin in February and March (during Spring Break) to spawn creativity and teach new skills. Computer skills camps are taught by the knowledgeable staff of Youth Tech, Inc. All supplies are provided, including laptops. Williamson County Parks and Recreation invites area residents to hop on over to the FREE annual community Easter Egg Hunts on Saturday, March 19, 2016 promptly at 10:00 a.m. at the Franklin Recreation Complex, 1120 Hillsboro Rd. and the Fairview Recreation Complex, 2714 Fairview Blvd. Children ages 10 and younger are invited to attend! Hundreds of eggs will be scattered and some eggs will contain special prizes! Don’t forget your basket or sack for gathering eggs. The Easter Bunny will be available for photos, so bring your cameras! Please arrive early to allow for parking and walking to the fields.

Nashville Opera’s performance of Goldie B. Locks & The Three Singing Bears
The student-friendly 40-minute production is sung in English. The Nashville Opera On Tour will bring full sets and costumes. This is a great performance for audience interaction. The cast consist of 4 professional opera singers, and a pianist. All performers are members of the Nashville Opera’s Mary Ragland Young Artist Program.

Children will enjoy making old-fashioned Valentine cards to send to their loved ones and decorating a special box to keep their very own valentines in. We will look at authentic Valentines sent from soldiers and from their loved ones back home. Reservations are required and the cost is $15/child. The Brentwood Library Annual Tree Lighting will be on Monday, December 7th at 5:30pm. At 5pm and 6pm, there will be readings of The Polar Express in the Periodical Room and everyone attending the Polar Express Reading must have a ticket. The event is free, but tickets for the Polar Express Readings are available on a first come-first serve basis at the Children’s Service Desk beginning on Monday, November 23rd during regular library hours.
