Spring Station Holiday Marketplace opens Dec. 5

It’s time to shop ’til you drop at the Spring Station Middle School 5th Annual Holiday Marketplace Saturday, Dec. 5 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Admission is $2.

Funds collected will go towards supporting the Spring Station band.

Door prizes will be available.

Items including a two-night stay at a Cool Springs Hotel, autographed paraphernalia, dinner certificates to great restaurants, and much more. We Santa will be available for pictures with proceeds going to Shop with a Cop.

Area vendors will offer crafts, foods, home goods and other specialty items.

Concessions will be hosted by the Summit High School Band boosters.

Breakfast and lunch items will be available as well as candy and drinks. More than 700 people are expected to attend.

Seniors Plan Trip To Christmas Village

Registration is now open for November 13 trip

The Williamson County Parks and Recreation Department invites area seniors (55 and older) to put on their walking shoes for a trip to Christmas Village on Friday, November 13. This Nashville holiday shopping extravaganza features over 270 vendors offering unique gifts and crafts. The trip is $26 per person, which includes transportation and admission. Lunch is Dutch treat; several food vendors will be on site.

Departures are scheduled from the Longview Recreation Center at Spring Hill, 2909 Commonwealth Dr. at 8:30 a.m.; from the Franklin Recreation Complex, 1120 Hillsboro Rd. at 9:15 a.m.; and the Williamson County Recreation Complex at Nolensville, 7250 Nolensville Rd. at 9:15 a.m. Registration is now open and ends when the trip is full. Annual Holiday Crafts & Car ShowCelebrating Halloween & Christmas in one big weekend

Time to celebrate the seasons of Halloween and Christmas at the 25th Annual Holiday Arts and Crafts Show and Kris Kringle Kar Klassic on October 31 and November 1, 2015 at the Williamson County Ag Expo Arena, 4215 Long Ln. This annual family event is presented by the Williamson County Parks and Recreation Department (WCPR) and features an invitational car show along with great holiday shopping, plus on-site trick or treating, visits and photos with Santa, and a community band concert.

On Saturday and Sunday, over 140 vendors will be participating in the arts and crafts show, with unique, handmade gifts, holiday and home décor, jewelry, apparel and other goodies made by local crafters and artists. Select holiday gifts for the whole family! Vintage and repurposed gifts, original art, pet items and more will be for sale at the show, so bring a shopping list.

On Saturday, October 31, the craft and car shows will celebrate the spirit of the Halloween season! Bring the kids in costume and trick or treat from all 140 vendor booths indoors from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.

On Sunday, the show will switch gears to December holiday fun with Santa on hand to listen to wish lists and take photos with the kids from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Plus, you can enjoy a concert by the Williamson County Community Band on Sunday at 2:00 p.m.

Vote for your favorite vehicle in the car show, sponsored by Hyundai of Cool Springs. The craft show is sponsored by NASH FM 103.3.

Hungry Mother Market is a Sip-and-Shop event featuring over 50 upscale, local vendors. The market will be held twice a year in historic Franklin, TN. The hours of the fall market will be 4 pm to 9 pm on Friday, October 30th. There is a low admission cost of $3 to shoppers! Hungry Mother Market provides complimentary wine to shoppers and vendors! Make it a girls’ night out and enjoy a glass of wine while you shop!

October 30th will be our third market and we are anticipating it to be our most successful yet! Last fall we had over 700 shoppers and our vendors made a multitude of sales and contacts. The Franklin Farmers Market is a year-round market in Tennessee. The summer season of the market is May through October every Saturday and the market is open 8am – 1pm. The winter season of the market is November through April. The hours for the winter market are 8am – noon for November and December. In January through April, the hours are 9am – noon.
