For the fifth consecutive year, Nissan will present Chukkers for Charity, a polo match and outdoor event held in Franklin, TN. on Saturday, Aug. 26. This year’s theme is “Up Up and Away” and marks 21 years of raising funds for Rochelle Center and Saddle Up!.
In addition to the polo match, the event features a vintage car show parade during half time, a silent auction and tailgating competition. Guests are encouraged to participate in celebrating the theme through the décor of their individual cabana tailgating headquarters.
The gates for the event will open at 1 p.m. for tailgaters and 2 p.m. for patrons. The opening ceremony will be held at 2:45 p.m. with the polo match beginning around 3 p.m. Following the polo match, the Patrons’ Dinner will begin at 6:15 p.m.
Tickets for Fieldside Patron Tables are available for $2,500 per table of 10. Standard Patron Tables are available for $1,750 per table of 10 or $175 per individual ticket. Tailgating cabanas are available for $300, which includes six armbands and a cabana, two additional wristbands per cabana available for $50 each. 10th Annual 3 Blind Vines – Liberty Hall @ The Factory at Franklin
Three Blind Vines is an annual wine tasting event presented by The Next Generation Heritage Foundation of Franklin and Williamson County. This party for a purpose continues to give all wine lovers, from a boxed wine enthusiast to a fine wine aficionado, the opportunity to taste different varieties of wine while benefiting a great cause: The Old Old Jail, or as it will soon be known, The Big House for Historic Preservation.
Tickets are $40 in advance ($50 at the door) and teams of up to 3 people are to bring 3 bottles of wine: one Cabernet, one Sauvignon Blanc & one duplicate. Admission includes entertainment, food from your favorite local restaurants and chefs, and all the wine you can drink (responsibly). The extremely popular Silent Auction will be back this year, as will the cash bar for beer lovers.
Check in begins at 6:00 p.m. and will go until 7:30 p.m. at which time no more wine will be accepted. Teams of 1 to 3 people will bring 3 bottles of wine (one Cabernet, one Sauvignon Blanc & one duplicate). Two bottles will be collected, disguised, and set out for tasting and voting. The third bottle is set aside unopened to be given to two Grand Prize Winners.
From 7:30 – 9:00 p.m. tasting and voting will takes place. Grab a few different bottles and take them back to your table. Taste and make notes on the space provided in your program and then pass the bottles along to the next table so everyone has the chance to enjoy!
This year’s silent auction will once again be hosted online! You will be able to bid on items from the comfort of your own seat or even the dance floor using your smart phone! The silent auction takes place from 6:00-9:00 p.m. and the bid winners are announced at 9:30 p.m. along with the two Grand Prize winners – each splitting the vault of all the unopened third bottles. You could go home with hundreds of bottles of wine!

Proceeds raised through the party this year will benefit women and children in Africa who have been through traumatic experiences, like poverty or trafficking.
