CampVandy Summer has a limit of 200 children per week so be sure to register early to reserve your spot!
CampVandy is a day camp for ages 4 to 13. Space is limited so REGISTER EARLY!!
Camp Sessions
CampVandy is a day camp that runs weekly from May 30 – July 29. General camp hours are 9:00am-4:15pm each day. Activities include arts and crafts, bowling, rock wall climbing, gym games and more! Each week has a theme on which the activities and special events are based.
Week 1 May 30 – June 3: Summer Kick Off
School’s Out For The Summer! We’re excited to kick of the summer with an entertaining week of games and activities!
Week 2 June 6 – June 10: Decade Days
Grab your leather jacket, bellbottoms and your boom box and head to CampVandy! Travel back in time to enjoy our Sock Hop, Disco, and funky beats!
Week 3 June 13 – June 17: Animal Planet
Bunnies, creepy-crawlies, and owls! You never know what you might find at CampVandy this week. Special guests such as the Nashville Zoo, Reptile Guy, and more!
Week 4 June 20 – June 24: CampVandy Circus
Ladies and Gentleman, Boys and Girls, get ready for the CampVandy Circus! Face paint, carnival games, dunk tank, and more!
Week 5 June 27 – July 1: Jurassic World
T-rex, Stegosaurus, and Velociraptor! Oh MY! Campers will travel back to the land of dinosaurs where we will dig for fossils, paint dinosaur eggs, and create volcanoes!
Week 6 July 5 – July 8: Stars and Stripes
Celebrate American’s birthday with hot dogs, water slides, and the CampVandy Color Games! This week will be prorated due to shortened week.
Week 7 July 11 – July 15: All-Star Week
Campers will cheer at the pep rally, have fun at the tailgate party, and play in our Mat Ball World Series. To conclude the week campers and counselors will face off in our annual Good Games!
Week 8 July 18 – July 22: Go for the Gold!
Get ready for the 2016 Rio games and participate in the CampVandy Olympic games, Nations Parade, and more!
Week 9 July 25 – July 29: CampVandy’s Got Talent!
Whether it’s singing, dancing or magic, bring your talent to the CampVandy Talent Show! Special guests include Nashville Ballet and Nashville Puppet Show.
CampVandy Mini-Camp Series (Ages 8-13)
Mini-camps provide an additional educational opportunity to our campers ages 8-13 years of age. Add a mini-camp to the coinciding weekly CampVandy registration for just $65.
Aquatic Survival Skills mini-camp – June 13-17
To kick off our CampVandy summer mini-camp series, our aquatic team will teach children to use their critical-thinking skills to solve problem while in the water. Campers will be involved in survival swimming, water safety, canoeing, simple waterfront rescues, and much more! This fun-filled mini-camp will focus on team-building activities that is sure to make a splash with everyone!
Survival Skills mini-Camp – June 20-24
CampVandy’s second mini-camp will teach children how to utilize every day resources and tools in order to develop and improve living/survival skills. Taught in an active and hands on environment, campers will learn basic skills and cover topics such as clothing, shelter, water and fire. Activities include tent pitching, fire building, tying knots and snares, reading maps, etc. To conclude the week, kids will put their skills to the test in a campus-wide scavenger hunt!
Space mini-camp – June 27-July 1
The third installment of this summer’s mini-camp series is ideal for young NASA engineers. Kids will learn about gravity, planets, and even build their own space ship! Campers will dig for moon rocks, create alien slime, and participate in team building activities that will prepare them for a lunar crash landing. Don’t miss out on this camp’s out of this world experience!
Cost
Cost includes activities during general camp hours (9:00am-4:15pm), a camp t-shirt, and 2 snacks a day.
Vanderbilt Affiliate (faculty/staff/Recreation and Wellness Center members): $165 per week
Community: $195 per week
$65 daily rate for all
Please Note: Balance must be paid in full at the time of registration.
Early Care and After Care
Early care hours are from 7:00am-8:30am and after care hours are from 4:15pm-6:00pm. Early and after care can be added for an additional fee of $10 per care, per day.

Please note: The Recreation and Wellness Center is not responsible for registration forms left at the front desk or under the door.
Please note that required documentation and information for health history has changed. We now require the following at the time of registration:
- description of any camp activities from which the camper should be exempt from due to health reasons
- past medical treatments, if any
- record of allergies or dietary restrictions
- immunizations records including date of last tetanus shot
- record of current medications (prescribed and over the counter)
- description of any physical, mental, psychological conditions
