Lively medieval festival featuring minstrels, gallants, armored knights, jousting comes alive with the bustle of a Renaissance Marketplace. Over 60 skilled Artisians from all over the country display their wares from silks to swords, gems to jewels. Flavors, aromas and tastes of specialty foods and drinks greet the festival-goer. Hear the sounds of Renaissance musicians and merrymakers as they echo through the trees. Color, movement, and peals of laughter welcome those who thrill to the challenges of games of skill.
The festival is easily accessible from I-24, I-65, or I-840. Take Highway 96 to Triune, follow the “Renaissance Festival” signs. Just 25 miles south of Nashville.
Haunted Franklin Ghost Tour!
Looking for an out-of-the-ordinary way to celebrate Memorial Day? Franklin on Foot has several ideas that will be fun group activities and bonding experiences! This six-block ghost tour that uncovers two centuries of tales of soldiers, socialites and spies…. among many others! This one is family friendly, and super intriguing–it pulls back Franklin’s quaint exterior and digs into some of the town’s “unfinished business.” The tour begins each night on the Public Square in downtown Franklin at 8 p.m. Want to learn more?
