Join Hard Bargain Association on Saturday, June 23, 2018 at Boyd Mill Farm for the 15th annual Blackberry Jam Music Festival, presented by Scout’s Pub and bringing a talented, diverse line-up of musicians and our community together, and all for a great cause.

The Blackberry Jam is proud to announce this year’s headliner is Grammy-winning multi-instrumentalist and Hall of Fame legend Charlie McCoy!

Charlie has performed with musicians including Elvis Presley, Bob Dylan, Johnny Cash, Chet Atkins, Waylon Jennings and Loretta Lynn.

The 2018 Blackberry Jam Music Festival, presented by Scout’s Pub and hosted by Reckless Johnny Wales, brings together musicians from several states, but focuses on our homegrown talent from Middle Tennessee and all for a great cause. This year’s Jam benefits Hard Bargain Association.

Chukkers for Charity

chukkers_logoFor the fifth consecutive year, Nissan will present Chukkers for Charity, a polo match and outdoor event held in Franklin, TN. on Saturday, Aug. 26. This year’s theme is “Up Up and Away” and marks 21 years of raising funds for Rochelle Center and Saddle Up!.

In addition to the polo match, the event features a vintage car show parade during half time, a silent auction and tailgating competition. Guests are encouraged to participate in celebrating the theme through the décor of their individual cabana tailgating headquarters.

The gates for the event will open at 1 p.m. for tailgaters and 2 p.m. for patrons. The opening ceremony will be held at 2:45 p.m. with the polo match beginning around 3 p.m. Following the polo match, the Patrons’ Dinner will begin at 6:15 p.m.

Tickets for Fieldside Patron Tables are available for $2,500 per table of 10. Standard Patron Tables are available for $1,750 per table of 10 or $175 per individual ticket. Tailgating cabanas are available for $300, which includes six armbands and a cabana, two additional wristbands per cabana available for $50 each. Franklin on the Fourth Downtown Franklin“Franklin on the Fourth” in Downtown Franklin, TN

The annual Independence Day celebration begins at 10 a.m. on July 4th.

Franklin, Tennessee – This year’s 4th of July Celebration will focus on family fun and include great music, quality crafts, tasty food, antique cars, and a large kids zone.  Downtown Franklin, TN is the perfect location to have a festival and community event such as “Franklin on the Fourth”. 

The free festival kicks off at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, July 4th, with bluegrass music playing from the stage.  Food vendors include everything from roasted corn on the cob to BBQ, ice cream to nachos; and corn dogs to smoothies.  Craft vendors will fill the area with wood working, jewelry and other handmade items. 

Presenting sponsors, Kroger and Williamson Medical Center, will have booths right on the Square.  Antique cars will line Main Street between the square and 4th Avenue.  The kid’s zone on 3rd Avenue North will have inflatables, a petting zoo, and pony rides.  The always fun Children’s Parade begins lining up at 4:45 and starts at 5 p.m.  Registration for the parade is free and goes on all day at the Lions Club booth, which also will be selling water.

Live entertainment, including popular groups Mersi Stone, Tommy Jackson’s Rocky Top Revue, Williamson Branch, Adam Searan, and John England and the Western Swingers , continues throughout the day with a variety of music genres including Bluegrass, Country, Soul, Patriotic Music, and Big Band Swing.  The final group of the day will be the 129th Army Band, “Guardians of Swing”, preceded by the presentation of colors and the “National Anthem”.

Franklin on the Fourth ends at 8 p.m. to give attendees time to get to the Fireworks Display at the Park at Harlinsdale Farm.  The display, put on by the City of Franklin and its sponsors, will begin at approximately 9 p.m.

“Franklin on the Fourth” is coordinated by the Franklin Lions Club and TN Events in conjunction with the City of Franklin.  All proceeds benefit the Franklin Lions Club Charities. 

REMEMBER !!
The tradition of the “Children’s Parade” will continue and begin at 5:00 p.m. (Children will begin lining up at a designated marked location at 4:45) There will be Prizes for best costume and decorated bikes and wagons. Pets are welcome!

Owl’s Hill Nature Sanctuary – Free Hike Day – All Ages!

Come out to Owl’s Hill for a free hike! Join one of our staff members or volunteers on a guided hike through Owl’s Hill. This is a great opportunity for families, individuals, and small groups to come enjoy the trails of Owl’s Hill and get some exercise. The hike will be approximately two to three miles with some moderate hill climbs included. Hikes will start at 1:00.
