The City Farmhouse Pop-up Fair at The Factory at Franklin is a Friday and Saturday vintage and antiquing extravaganza. The Fairs features 70 curated vendors from across the U.S. selected for their authentic farmhouse wares and award-winning styling abilities.

Join Big Brothers Big Sisters of Middle Tennessee for the 14th annual Franklin Wine Festival on October 12. The entire Factory at Franklin complex becomes a “sip and stroll” event like none other. Wines from across the globe abound with typically more than 300 selections coupled with 30 area restaurants and caterers. Live music is on multiple stages and areas, and the event features a silent auction, crowning of a “King and Queen of the Vines,” and other fun surprises.

Pilgrimage Music & Cultural Festival was inspired by friendship, history, experience and the desire to create an authentic music festival. In 2015, musician and Franklin, TN resident Kevin Griffin was on a September morning run through The Park at Harlinsdale, a century-old horse farm recently purchased by the City of Franklin. Kevin was so taken by the rolling hills, natural amphitheaters, and breathtaking vistas of the 230-acre farm, he envisioned it as a natural fit for a music festival venue. Considering Franklin’s music and cultural history, Kevin wanted the community to further appreciate combining this with the beauty and rustic quality of Middle Tennessee in the fall, and with the blessing of the City, began to dream up a music festival to do it justice.

The festival has grown in its three years to double down on the music programming, with six stages and heralded lineups year after year, and has expanded its cultural focus by showcasing hundreds of local artisans, restaurants, food trucks and makers that give context and authenticity to the Pilgrimage experience.

Chukkers for Charity Announces 2018 Ironhorse Farms & Colonial Hill Farm Teams

The annual event on Sept. 8 to feature top female players in Tennessee’s largest polo match

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The 22nd annual Chukkers for Charity polo match has announced this year’s all-female teams to play on Saturday, Sept. 8 at Riverview Farm. John and Crispin Menefee’s Ironhorse Farms and Eleanor Menefee Parkes’ Colonial Hill Farm are team sponsors, thus creating a bit of sibling rivalry, as the opposing farm owners John and Eleanor are brother and sister.

The signature event returns with the theme “Diamonds and Divots” to raise funds for Rochelle Center and Saddle Up!, local organizations that support individuals with disabilities. Both teams will feature all-female players, with the Ironhorse Farms team including Martha Bennett, Virginia Ingram, Hope Arellano and Gillian Johnston. The Colonial Hill Farm team includes Gracie Brown, Lexie Armstrong, Dawn Jones (wife of actor Tommy Lee Jones) and Allie Henderson.

The gates for Chukkers for Charity will open at 1 p.m. for tailgaters and 2 p.m. for patrons. The opening ceremony will be held at 2:45 p.m. and will include performers Curtis Braly and Sweet Tea Trio, with the polo match beginning around 3 p.m. Following the polo match, the Patrons’ Dinner will begin at 5:15 p.m.

Fieldside Patron Tables and Standard Patron Tables are now sold out, but individual patron tickets are still available for $175. Tailgating cabanas are available for $300, which includes six wristbands and a cabana. Two additional wristbands per cabana are available for $50 each. ABOUT SADDLE UP!

Saddle Up! is Middle Tennessee’s center of excellence in equine therapy, education and advocacy. A PATH Premiere Center, Saddle Up! provides equine therapy services that include Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech Therapy and adaptive recreational riding for children ages 2 through 24 with diagnosed disabilities. New Two-Hour Parking Signage Complete in Downtown Franklin

Franklin—In July the Board of Mayor and Alderman voted to amend Franklin’s Parking laws from four hours to two hours in the downtown core. This week the Franklin Street Department completed the installation of 29 signs. The law will now be enforced Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., and will exclude city recognized holidays. Saturdays and Sundays will be unlimited parking.

The City also owns two free parking garages with approximately 300 spaces each that offer unlimited free parking. There are privately owned paid lots also available in downtown Franklin. Auditions August 27 and 28

The Williamson County Parks and Recreation Department (WCPR) is pleased to announce 2018 auditions for the Williamson County Community Chorus.

Adults (18 or older) are invited to audition on Monday, August 27 or Tuesday, August 28 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the Williamson County Enrichment Center at Academy Park, 110 Everbright Ave. in Franklin. Performances are scheduled for December 9 and April 28.
